Protective packaging manufacturer Pregis has announced the acquisition of the US-based foam extruder Inter-Pac for an undisclosed amount.

Pregis president and chief executive officer Kevin Baudhuin said the company will add Inter-Pac's Tupelo facility to its manufacturing footprint.

"Its geographic location will be an asset in servicing the protective packaging needs of our East Coast customers," Baudhuin added.

Pregis said it will continue to operate Inter-Pac's 180,000ft2 Tupelo manufacturing facility and the transaction is expected to benefit its customers across all segments and channels.
